Celeste Brown

Former Judge, Bexar County Court at Law No. 8 · Attorney since 1994

Celeste Brown is a Texas attorney, former Bexar County Court at Law No. 8 Judge, former DWI Drug Court Judge, business owner, and longtime public servant committed to fairness, accountability, and the rule of law.

A graduate of Southwest Texas State University, where she studied Political Science and Business, Celeste went on to earn her law degree from St. Mary’s University School of Law. She has been licensed to practice law in Texas since 1994 and has spent more than three decades working in and around the courtroom, with deep experience in criminal law, judicial administration, and public service.

Celeste previously served as Judge of Bexar County Court at Law No. 8 from 2015 to 2018. She is now running to return proven experience, discipline, and steady leadership to that bench.

For more than seven years, Celeste has also served as an alternate judge for the Bexar County Justice of the Peace courts, continuing her hands-on work in the courtroom and strengthening her experience managing dockets, hearing cases, applying the law, and serving the people of Bexar County. She was also appointed Medina County Justice of the Peace, Precinct 4, from 2021 to 2022.

Throughout her judicial career, Celeste has earned a reputation for being fair, focused, and firm. Her accomplishments include service as a DWI Drug Court Judge, helping expand the Bexar County DWI Court Program, reducing court backlog, and earning recognition for her work in the judiciary.

Celeste’s experience is not limited to the bench. As a longtime criminal defense attorney and business owner, she understands the justice system from multiple perspectives: the courtroom, the community, the client’s chair, and the judge’s bench. That broad experience gives her the practical judgment, discipline, and temperament needed for County Court at Law No. 8.

Celeste Brown is running because she believes the courtroom should be serious, efficient, respectful, and fair. Her philosophy is simple: follow the law, listen carefully, treat people with dignity, and keep the court moving.

With decades of legal experience, prior service on Court No. 8, and more than seven years of continued judicial service in Bexar County Justice of the Peace courts, Celeste Brown is ready to serve Bexar County again.
